Aura Safari

Aura Safari is a collective of musicians and DJs from Perugia, Italy. Its members include Nicholas Iammatteo, Andrea Moretti, Lorenzo Lavoratori and Daniele Melloni. They cite Umbria Jazz and the Red Zone club as formative parts of their listening. Their recordings use synthesizers, percussion, guitar and drum machines, with influences from jazz-fusion, boogie, Italo-disco and house.

The self-titled debut album appeared on Church in 2019. Hotel Mediterraneo and Lagos Connect followed on Hell Yeah Recordings, alongside singles on Terrasolare. Hell Yeah released Island Dreams in 2023 and Sensory Blending, made with Jimi Tenor, in 2024. The collaboration began after Tenor performed at a Hell Yeah event in Perugia. The collective also presents Tropical Climax on 1BTN, selecting disco, house, boogie and other records.
