Ellen Allien

Ellen Fraatz records and performs as Ellen Allien. Based in Berlin, she founded BPitch Control and later UFO Inc. Her production combines techno with experimental electronic music, and she has recorded vocals in both German and English. She has described the culture of reunified Berlin as an inspiration for her music; her album Stadtkind was dedicated to the city.

Her work includes solo albums, EPs, remixes and running the two labels. The recent Bandcamp catalogue includes Rave Luv EP, released in 2024, and her remix of Sad Madona’s Witch Coast. BPitch and UFO Inc. publish recordings by other producers alongside Allien’s own music. Her solo work also includes the album Stadtkind, named for her home city.
