YHWH Nailgun

YHWH Nailgun began in Philadelphia in 2020 as the duo of singer Zack Borzone and drummer Sam Pickard. After moving to Queens, they expanded with guitarist and producer Saguiv Rosenstock and Jack Tobias on synthesizers and electronics. Early releases included Mallet and two EPs in 2022. Their recordings and performances combine vocals, guitar, percussion and electronic processing.

The debut album 45 Pounds appeared on AD 93 in March 2025. It was recorded at a studio on a goat farm in upstate New York. Borzone named Paul Celan and Walt Whitman among the influences on his lyrics. The album followed the singles Castrato Raw, Tear Pusher and Penetrator and was accompanied by touring.
