Paris is the capital of France, on the Seine, a city of about 2.1 million residents and more than 12 million in the wider Île-de-France region. Much of its electronic scene sits in the east and north of the city.
Clubbing
Rex Club, in the 2nd arrondissement, opened in 1989 and is often called the historic heart of electronic music in Paris. Concrete, on the banks of the Seine in the 12th, is known for its daytime after-parties, and La Station - Gare des Mines, in the 18th, mixes experimental club music and techno with a strong grassroots and queer collective scene. Badaboum, in the 11th, is a long-standing address moving between house, techno and bass.
