Dancity

Dancity is an electronic music and arts festival based in Foligno, Umbria, since 2006. Its programme moves between live music, DJ sets and audiovisual work, with installations, workshops and discussions giving space to the processes behind the performances. The historic centre is part of the festival’s setting: the Auditorium San Domenico, a former fourteenth-century church with frescoes, has hosted music alongside other city venues. Dancity has also developed a winter format. The December 2024 programme included Carmen Villain, Pye Corner Audio, Dasha Rush and a back-to-back set by Vladimir Ivkovic and Joakim, combining listening-focused performances with the dancefloor. The organisation continues its activity beyond the festival through Dancity Nights and Dancity Mag, connecting its event programme with an ongoing interest in contemporary electronic culture.
