Maintenant Festival

Maintenant brings art, music and digital practices into venues across Rennes. Organised by the association Electroni[k], its programme combines concerts, performances, exhibitions, installations and encounters with artists. The festival’s archive includes earlier editions under the name Cultures Electroni[k], before Maintenant became its title in 2013. Its focus reaches beyond music into interactive design, moving images and the ways artists use or repurpose technology. The association works with tools ranging from sound creation and projection mapping to augmented reality and low-tech processes, combining the presentation of work with opportunities to experiment and learn. Maintenant now runs on a biennial rhythm, alternating with a season of artistic projects in other parts of Brittany.
