Innervisions began in Berlin in 2005, founded by Dixon and the two members of Âme, Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann. Initially connected to Sonar Kollektiv, it became an independent outlet for house music built around melody, percussion and extended arrangements. Early records by Tokyo Black Star, Âme and Henrik Schwarz established that direction; the Where We At compilation brought their work together with a spoken contribution from Derrick Carter.
The catalogue has since included Marcus Worgull, Trikk, Jimi Jules and Echonomist, alongside the founders' productions and remixes. Its recurring Secret Weapons collections place tracks from different producers in the same DJ-oriented series. In 2011, it began distributing releases directly through Muting The Noise. It also published the English translation of Tobias Rapp's Lost in Sound.
