Rush Hour connects an Amsterdam record shop, a distributor and a label, with the wider project dating to 1997. The recording catalogue brings together contemporary productions and the recovery of music that had become difficult to find. House and techno sit beside boogie, soul, jazz and electronic records from different periods and places.
Releases by Tom Trago, Awanto 3 and Population One document one side of that activity; the catalogue also includes Soichi Terada and the Dream 2 Science recordings of Ben Cenac. The catalogue also contains releases by Ron Trent, Boo Williams and The Rah Band. Rush Hour also organises events and in-store DJ sessions in Amsterdam.
