A lost film of Gibson’s Kalamazoo factory, found in the company vault. Shot at Gibson’s factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1967. Restored and released by Gibson TV in 2022. 20 min
In autumn 2020 Gibson found an unmarked reel in its archives and had it digitally restored. In about twenty minutes it shows almost every step of making a guitar in 1967, from choosing tonewoods to the final checks, plus the amp, pickup and string departments.
No Les Paul appears: the model only returned to the catalogue the following year.
