The Italian region that built organs, accordions and some of the strangest synthesizers in the world. By Hainbach, 2021. 39 min
From the 1950s to the mid-1990s tens of thousands of people in the Marche made instruments, including small runs of synthesizers by companies such as Siel, Elka, Farfisa and Crumar. Most production closed in the 1990s and the story went untold.
Invited to play the Acusmatic Festival in Ancona, Hainbach visits the Museo del Synth Marchigiano, which is working to bring it back, and records the machines.
