Bodhi

Bodhi is the Cardiff duo of Luke Welsby and Olly Howells. The two knew each other through playing in bands before making electronic music together. An early Destiny’s Child edit was credited to Owls & Bodhi; they subsequently shortened the name. In a 2013 interview, they described Motown and funk as influences on their house productions and discussed their use of sampled vocals.

Their later releases have included house, UK garage, breakbeat and electronica. Hotflush has issued a substantial part of their catalogue, while the duo has also released through dh2 and Unknown to the Unknown. Their Resident Advisor biography identifies percussion, groove and melodic texture as continuing elements of the music. The releases collected here document their Hotflush work across singles and multi-track EPs.
