Hasegawa appeared at online events organised by Porter Robinson and Flying Lotus before signing to Brainfeeder in 2023. Mouth Flash introduced the label relationship; Mahōgakkō followed in 2024. The title translates as Magic School. Hasegawa subsequently toured the album and performed at Fuji Rock and Sonicmania. Their catalogue also includes collaborations and live presentations that rework the studio arrangements.
