Off the Meds
Off the Meds is a Stockholm group of producers Adrian Lux, Carli Löf and Måns Glaeser with South African vocalist and photographer Kamohelo Khoaripe.
Kamohelo Khoaripe met Adrian Lux, Carli Löf and Måns Glaeser after moving from Johannesburg to Stockholm. The three producers had already worked together in different combinations, including Löf and Glaeser as Savage Skulls. Khoaripe had documented Johannesburg nightlife as a photographer before becoming involved in recording. His vocal parts use Zulu, Tsotsitaal and English.
The group’s first recording, Currency Low, appeared on Studio Barnhus Volym 1 in 2018. Belter followed in 2019, including a remix by Joy Orbison. Their self-titled debut album arrived in November 2020 with tracks including Wena, Karlaplan and EKSE. Later versions include remixes by Bella Boo, Roman Flügel and X-Coast. Best OFF followed in 2022, continuing the group’s relationship with Studio Barnhus.
