Komorebi Music Festival

Komorebi is an independent electronic music festival held at Forte di Vinadio, in the Stura Valley of Italy’s Cuneo province. Started by a group of friends, it brings DJ sets and live performances into the fortress and its surrounding Alpine landscape. Visual shows and art installations form part of the programme, linking the dancefloor with the architecture of the site. The organisers describe inclusion, creative freedom and participation as central to the project, and set out an approach to production that encourages creative recycling and the use of environmentally responsible materials. The fortress became a new home for the festival rather than its original location. Its artistic identity also draws on the local landscape, oral traditions and folklore, connecting contemporary electronic culture with the place in which the gathering happens.
