Lunchmeat has brought electronic music and new media art together in Prague since 2010.
Lunchmeat has brought electronic music and new media art together in Prague since 2010. Its programme is built around audiovisual work, including collaborations between musicians and visual artists commissioned as world premieres. Czech artists appear alongside international projects, and the organisers frame the bill without a distinction between headliners and support acts. The archive includes performances by Aïsha Devi with Emile Barret, Ben Frost with MFO and Ryoichi Kurokawa, showing different approaches to the relationship between sound and image. Lunchmeat has also worked with the National Gallery Prague and presented performances in spaces such as the Convent of St Agnes. These projects use the acoustic and visual character of the building as part of the work. Live performances, DJ sets and a symposium connect the dancefloor with discussion of audiovisual practice.
