Damian Lazarus established Crosstown Rebels in 2003. The London label developed through records by artists including Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex and Art Department, with artist development and parties closely connected from the beginning. Its early Slash & Burn and Rebel Rave events preceded the larger Get Lost and Day Zero projects.
The catalogue includes club singles as well as albums, with Krust's recordings adding a different production history to the label's house-oriented associations. The sister imprint Rebellion focuses on music for the club, while Secret Teachings makes room for work further from the dancefloor.
