Editions Mego was established by Peter Rehberg in Vienna in 2006, continuing the catalogue of Mego, which had begun in 1994. The new company kept earlier recordings available while providing an outlet for new work. Its history connects computer-generated sound and noise with electroacoustic composition, guitar music, drone and analogue synthesizers.

Fennesz's Endless Summer belongs to the earlier Mego catalogue; Oneohtrix Point Never's Returnal and Emeralds' Does It Look Like I'm Here? marked later directions. Its catalogue includes Caterina Barbieri's Ecstatic Computation, Oren Ambarchi's Hubris and KMRU's Peel. Russell Haswell, Hecker, Jim O'Rourke and Rehberg's own Pita and KTL projects are also represented.
