Twelve months, about 12,000 parts and 450 craftspeople go into the piano. The film stays on the factory floor in Queens, then follows L1037 to the pianists who test it and talk about what they hear in a Steinway.
It won Best Documentary at the Sarasota Film Festival in 2007 and opened in New York at Film Forum the same year.
