Founded by Lee Gopthal, who came to Britain with the Windrush generation, Trojan grew against a backdrop of rising racial hatred and took ska, rocksteady and reggae from the late 1960s into the charts. With archive footage, new interviews and drama, the film places the label at the heart of a cultural revolution on the council estates and dancefloors of the time.
It premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2018.
