Eric Copeland

Eric Copeland is an American musician and member of Black Dice. He released his first solo album, Hermaphrodite, on Paw Tracks in 2007, followed by Alien in a Garbage Dump in 2009. His recordings use sampled voices, loops, delay and electronic processing. Waco Taco Combo and Limbo preceded Joke in the Hole, released on DFA in 2013.

Further recordings appeared on L.I.E.S., including Logo My Ego, Jesus Freak and Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect. DFA released Black Bubblegum in 2016 and Goofballs in 2017. Copeland recorded Goofballs in Palma de Mallorca using a limited setup of drum machine, bass machine, sampler and a custom percussion device. Trogg Modal followed in two volumes. He also performs in Terrestrial Tones with Animal Collective’s Avey Tare.
