Running Back: releases and artists

Gerd Janson and Thorsten Scheu established Running Back in 2002. House and electronic disco form an important part of its catalogue, but the records accommodate different relationships to melody, repetition and club history. Todd Terje's Ragysh, Leon Vynehall's Rojus and releases by Lauer, Move D, Theo Parrish and Redshape mark distinct points in that development.

Roman Flügel, Tiger & Woods, KiNK, Krystal Klear and Deetron have also contributed to the label. Alongside new productions, the Mastermix series brings attention to particular DJs, clubs and collections of records, including Tony Humphries' Zanzibar years.
